Twin
Falls is located in Southern Idaho midway between Boise to the east and
Pocatello to the west and 70 miles south of Sun Valley. It lies on the
edge of the spectacular Snake River Canyon and is just two miles from the
world famous Shoshone Falls. Twin Falls is a vibrant city of over 35,000
people, home to over half of the county's 67,731 (*Census April 2001).
The city sits at a high-desert elevation of 3,745 with the Snake River
Canyon at our north edge, northern Nevada to our south and the distant
Sawtooth Mountains riming the northern horizon.

Is
the most populous of the eight South Central Idaho Counties and has demonstrated
extremely strong growth the past ten years. The population has increased
from 56,195 in 1992 to 65,472 in 2002, an increase of 17.0 percent. The
area has swiftly become a regional retail hub for Southern Central Idaho
and the population has increased accordingly. The area has abundant natural
resources and numerous recreational opportunities. Good work prospects
for job seekers and a moderate climate for retirement age people have helped
keep Twin Falls County's population on a steady growth curve. Per capita
income has increased from $16,002 to $22,812, or 38 percent. Twin Falls
ranks 10th out of Idaho's 44 counties for per capita income.*
